Individual Notes
• George A. Mills, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mills of Prescott was one of seven men aboard one of the Navy’s long range bombing planes which vanished at sea several days ago.
Mr. Mills joined the Naval Air service three years ago after graduating from Prescott high school.
The ill-fated plane was reported missing after it had dropped out of communication with other craft engaged in routine maneuvers. It was believed that the plane was down somewhere approximately 200 miles northwest of San Diego, California.
Mills was the radio man on the ship. Searching parties were combing the area and hope was held that it would eventually be found because the plane was capable of landing in any kind of sea and could remain afloat for many days.
3427• Another son, George Mills, was a member of the ill-fated crew of the Navy Seaplane that was lost on the Pacific coast a few months ago.
