• Source for birthdate, marriage date and place, mother's given name (Prudence), wife's maiden name is Warren vital records, as recorded by himself as Town Clerk. Thomas did not know his mother's surname, but gave his mother's residence as “East Hartford,” on his own record of his birth in 1771. Further, he states that his marriage was performed by John Hasting, Pastor, Baptist Church. At the time of Thomas’ marriage (1796), he gives his residence as Suffield, Hartford county, Connecticut.414
