Individual Notes
• My mother [has] Margaretha Rink’s high school diploma in a frame. I don’t know how I never saw that before! I’m going to get my friend in Germany to translate it for me.
3833• On Jan 11, 1836 Margaretha (Margarethe) was born as the fourth child of Johannes Baumbach, a day-laborer, and his wife Kunigunda Mehler, who lived in Neustädtles in the house No. 19. She was baptised in the Catholic church on Jan 12th, 1836. Therefore the school diploma is from the Catholic school in Neustädtles. Unfortunately they could not find out any further information as the marriage date of Johannes Baumbach and Kunigunda Mehler, as the dates of the other three children and neither they could explain why Margaretha Mehler did not get the name of her father. I suppose they must have come to Neustädles just before Margaretha was born.
