• OBITUARY
Emma Brown, was born at Oxford, Ind., on Nov. 28, 1875, and died at her home near Dunning, Nebr., on May 18, 1930. She was the victim of a long continued illness which proved to be incurable, in spite of competent medical attention.
On Dec. 31, 1897, she was married to Newel Short at Hastain, Mo., and to this union were born born one son, Ormal, who is now a resident of this community.
Although not a member of any church, she was making a conscientious attempt to lead a christian life.
She is survived by her husband and son of Dunning; one brother, Sam Brown, Hastain, Mo., three sisters, Mrs. E. D. Lindsey, Edwards, Mo., Mrs. E. Davis, Pacific Grove, Calif., and Mrs. G. A. Reeder, Montgomery, Calif.8175
