• The funeral of Mrs. Catherine Degelmann, mother of former Councilman Andrew Degelmann, took place last Monday afternoon from the home of her son, Johann in Third Street. The floral offerings of sympathy were evidence of esteem in which the old lady was held. Rev. H.C. Beckman of the St. Matthew’s Church, conducted the service and the remains were interred in Fairview Cemetery. Undertaker August Schell had charge of the funeral arrangements.8978

The day of burial being the twenty-fifth anniversary of his arrival in this country from Bayern,Bavaria, where he was born. He leaves a widow and four sons. An only daughter, Mrs. J. Leipold of Second Street died four weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Degelmann were married fifty seven years. The remains were interred in Fairview Cemetery.8982
