• He was much employed in public affairs, and one of the most prominent individuals of the town in his day. He was judge of the county court and court of probate; was elected assistant of the Upper House of the General Court, 1703; retired 1723. He left a large estate. 10 chn. His first wife was Lucretia Bradley (Elizabeth3 Brewster, Jonathan2, Wm.1).627
