• H.P. or “Harry” is based on Ruth Joy Schaeffer’s recollection.

• As to the baptism of Homer William Lesher in 1917, I checked the records for the year but did not locate this record. It is possible that the baptism was at Christ Church but was in late 1916 or early 1918.
3239• He changed his name to Harry Peter when he went to Alabama.
3833• I also found a baby picture of H. P. Lesher. Here’s what was stamped on the back of the photograph:
Photographed by J. C. Lesher
Zug’s Building, S. E. Corner Market Square, Carlisle, PA
underneath that is stamped H. Frantz
I also found an advertisement from P. H. Lesher’s painting business. According to the advertisement, the business was at E. S. Frantz’s Saddlery Shop, South Front Street, PA.
3833• My mom thinks that H. P. was married about 4 times. I do remember her saying that the family lost touch with H. P. towards the end of his life.
3832• Ms. Mills,
Attached you will find pictures of the gravesites of Harry and Lillie Lesher. I cannot send you a copy of the interment card because of privacy policies but I can tell you that they are the only ones buried on the spaces that they owned. They are in Block 14 Lot 327 on the West half of the lot. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Thanks,
Missy Blackburn
