• On May 16, 1800 Sarah Hodgkins, “daughter of William Martin UE” states that she has never had land, and signs her name before Ephraim Jones J.P. (of Augusta). A note on the cover says she is recommended for 200 acres as DUE (daughter of a UE loyalist). In a list of settlers on the Rideau River north of Prescott, taken in 1802, are: Leonard, Sarah, William, Rebecca, and Paula.164
