Also, when coming into Ellis Island, NY as her point of origin into the USA, the spelling of Sedig must have been slightly misunderstood by the immigration workers and they recorded the last name as Zedig, with an Z. It seems Rick's grandmother, Anna Maria, always used the Z when spelling her last name but I see it spelled both ways for her brothers and sisters who came to the USA.”
